Nature Immersion Design, Peak District

Working on a 5-acre site with stunning views in the altitudes of the peak district, we were asked to develop the design plans for an immersive nature retreat site. Designing for nature and a maximum ecological impact, this design concept considered reforesting large sections of the site, rewilding suitable areas, and transitioning the land to a native meadow.

The site was designed for a maximum of positive impact, reforesting and rewilding certain sections of the site, whilst allowing long native meadow grasses to grow and provide habitat and character to the site.

Specific planting for each camping bay was design to ensure guests felt secluded and immersed whilst enjoying their stay and the beautiful scenery. An educational route was suggested for children to identify various species, discover the benefits of each, and how to tell them apart.
