We work with forward thinking businesses and landowners to design strategies that restore nature and strengthen the value and longevity of their projects.

Guiding the change

Across Britain, our landscapes are entering a period of transformation.

Many estates, businesses, and landholdings are exploring new ways to restore biodiversity, support regenerative food systems and offer meaningful experiences in nature.

Woodland creation, agroforestry, regenerative farming, nature-based hospitality, nature retreats and immersions are becoming part of the new vision for rural landscapes.

Conscious Landscape works with landowners to explore the long-term potential of their land and shape a clear vision for how the landscape can evolve.

Ecological landscape design

Our work focuses on two areas

Adapting to all acres

Regenerative Estates

We work with landowners to develop long-term landscape strategies that restore ecology while strengthening the resilience of their estates.

Projects often include:

  • Estate masterplans

  • Woodland and habitat restoration

  • Orchards and agroforestry systems

  • Regenerative farming integration

  • Meadows and biodiversity corridors

  • Water systems and natural swimming landscapes

  • Long-term stewardship frameworks

  • Economic diversification opportunities

Nature-Based Businesses

Increasingly, rural land is becoming the setting for new forms of hospitality, events, and retreats. From art galleries, cabin retreats, or farm to table hospitality experience we design landscapes for nature-focused businesses.

Projects often include:

  • Wild landscapes for hospitality venues

  • Nature cabin retreats

  • Farm to table to experiences

  • Regenerative farm stays

  • Nature immersion and wellness landscapes

  • Nature-based tourism destinations

In these projects the landscape itself becomes the guest experience.

turning land into legacy

Cultivating abundance, reviving ecosystems, returning on investment

Through our work, we support the revival of natural ecosystems, the regeneration of soils and water systems, and the creation of biodiverse habitats.

As a result the property’s health, resilience and overall value is strengthened for the years to come.

OUR SERVICES

Many projects begin when landowners are exploring what their land could become

  • A strategic session exploring the ecological and economic potential of your land, helping establish a clear direction for how the landscape could evolve.

  • The landscape strategy brings together the many possibilities for your land into a clear and cohesive vision, providing a confident direction for how the landscape can evolve before major financial commitments are made.

This stage helps ensure that future investment is grounded in a well-considered plan, reducing risk and allowing decisions to be made with clarity and confidence.

The process includes a strategic workshop to explore ideas and ambitions for the land, alongside detailed analysis of the site and its wider landscape context. This reveals the opportunities and constraints of the landscape and identifies the most appropriate ways to work with its natural systems.

  • The landscape masterplan translates the strategic vision into a clear spatial framework for the land. It establishes how different parts of the landscape relate to one another and how the overall project will evolve over time.

This stage develops the structure of the landscape in greater detail — including the arrangement of woodland, habitats, productive landscapes, circulation routes and key places within the landscape.

The masterplan provides a practical guide for the future development of the land, helping ensure that individual interventions contribute to a coherent and well-considered whole.

  • Once the landscape vision and masterplan are established, we support the delivery of the project as it moves toward implementation.

This can include detailed design development, coordination with architects, ecologists, contractors and land managers, and guidance throughout the construction and planting phases.

Our role is to ensure that the landscape vision is realised with care and precision, helping bring the project to life while maintaining the integrity of the overall strategy.

We are working with forward thinking landowners on a journey to bring the worlds of farming and nature restoration closer together. This 113-acre project bringing together agroecology and sustainable farming, designed to restore natural systems while enhancing productivity on a historic estate.

Rekindling the stewardship between humans and the natural world.

Featured Work

Offering farm to table experiences for the FARMACY brand and other central London restaurants.

Set across 12 acres of ancient farmland bordering Forest Row, this project aimed to create a true farm-to-table experience immersed in the landscape of Ashdown Forest.

The farm now supplies organic and biodynamic produce to restaurants and events, while functioning as a place for learning, gathering, and experiencing food directly from the land.

A forgotten landscape transformed into a productive, educational, and community-focused biodynamic farm.
