Farm to Table, Ashdown Forest

A regenerative farm transformed into a productive, educational, and community-focused food landscape.

Key Features:

  • Baseline Assessment & Masterplan - Comprehensive analysis guiding the overall design.

  • Phased Implementation & Project Management - Oversight through the initial establishment period.

  • Planning & Infrastructure - Permissions secured for kitchens, polytunnels, and an event glasshouse.

  • Market Gardens - Productive gardens supplying restaurants and on-site events.

  • Agroforestry Orchards & Irrigation - Integrated productive systems supporting long-term resilience.

Set across 12 acres of ancient farmland bordering Forest Row, this project aimed to create a true farm-to-table experience immersed in the landscape of Ashdown Forest.

We were appointed as lead designers and project managers for the first two years of establishment, transforming abandoned fields into a working farm, education centre, and event space.

The farm now supplies organic and biodynamic produce to restaurants and events, while functioning as a place for learning, gathering, and experiencing food directly from the land.
